Faith

Faith is necessary in the salvation of a sinner, but not for the same reason.

The faith OF Christ is the ground of our salvation.
The faith of the Gospel is revelation of salvation.
Faith IN Christ is the fruit of salvation and the means by which we lay hold of Christ.
All these meanings of faith were described by our Lord.
He said, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
He also said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME.”(John 14:6)
It is written in Romans 6:17-18, “…but ye have obey from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”

False Preachers

Please read this concerning God’s Condemnation Of False Preachers

There are so many christians who haved been duped by these (Charlatans) people that now it is hard for them to have FAITH.

With Jesus as our saviour, we can only build up our faith by reading the BIBLE, which for most of us is so difficult, but which at least has all the answers and the truth that unfortunately is so often manipulated by man for his own gain

Deadly sins

There are seven sins that are detestable to God: (1) haughty eyes, (2) a lying tongue, (3) hands that shed innocent blood, (4) a heart that devises wicked schemes, (5) feet that are quick to rush into evil, (6) a false witness who pours out lies, and (7) a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.”

All sin results in death (Romans 6:23).

Praise be to God, that through Jesus Christ, all of our sins, including the “seven deadly sins,” can be forgiven (Matthew 26:28; Acts 10:43; Ephesians 1:7).

Attitude

Attitude is very important. At times it takes much effort to maintain a good attitude.

Work very hard to remain upbeat on the job.

We should smile and think on good things. We might have a really bad day and have to work late, but think on the positive side and keep an upbeat attitude. Often people have ask, "Why do you smile all the time?" What an opportunity to let them know that it is because we have the Lord. On the other hand, if someone were to ask us, "Why are you so sad all the time?" that person would not want what we have.
The attitude that we show in our daily living is a witness to others. we can slowly plant seeds in people's lives. Try to enjoy life and enjoy your job. Even when things are not going well, if you keep the joy of the Lord in your life, you will show people something that they will want.
Think on Good Things
The Apostle Paul did not say, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are false, whatsoever things are a lie, whatsoever things are unfair, whatsoever things are despicable, whatsoever things are of a negative report; think on these things." This is the attitude that many people take. They only think about the lies that people have told about them. They think about all the times they have been wronged, all the times people have not acted lovely to them, and all the negative reports. What about the positive reports?
Paul said in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true [if something is not true, do not think about it], whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Many people are so quick to look at the negative side of everything. We live in a very critical world. People are more critical of the church than they have ever been.
Certainly at times you have a legitimate reason to be upset about things. Undoubtedly there will be times when someone will do you wrong or when someone will cheat you. Those things happen. Someone may do something against Truth or against you; someone may lie about you. Nevertheless, you have no right to hold them for it. The Word of God says in Hebrews 13:1, "Let brotherly love continue." Many people are not willing to do that. They think on the negative things, but that is not what God has commanded us to do.
Even during the times when you feel that you have a legitimate reason to be upset, you should not think on those things. If you catch yourself thinking on those things, remember what God's Word says. It has a list of good things to think on, and none of those things is negative or bad. God wants you to think on godly, holy, pure, honest things.
A wrong or a negative attitude will drain you emotionally and spiritually. If you think on negative things all week, you will go to church on Sunday spiritually drained. Remember, the attitudes that you have go a long way in determining whether or not you will make it to Heaven.

Gandhi

Did Gandhi say that he likes Christ but he does not like his Christians They are unlike their Christ?
He was only telling the truth, because some are Christians only in name, not in deeds.
Matthew 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Christmas Day Why Bother?

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

"Why should we read and study the Bible?"
We should read and study the Bible because it is God's word to us.
We should read and study the Bible because it is totally reliable, without error.
We should read and study the Bible because there is so much false teaching.
We should read and study the Bible because God does not change and because mankind's nature does not change.

The Bible will equip you for serving God. It will help you know how to be saved from your sin and its ultimate consequence.

Reading and studying the Bible will help you to see beyond the attractive "bait" to the painful "hook" in sinful temptations, so that you can learn from others' mistakes rather than making them yourself. Experience is a great teacher, but when it comes to learning from sin, it is a terribly hard teacher. It is so much better to learn from others' mistakes. There are so many Bible characters to learn from, both positive and negative role models, both often coming from the same person's life at different points.

The Bible is a book that is not for mere reading. It is a book for studying so that it can be applied.

Why should we read the BIBLE?
